My name is Meira and I originally hail from NYC, USA. I am an educational technologist and technology coach, digital art teacher, and creative working at an international school in Sofia, Bulgaria. I am passionate about creativity and creating, education, art, technology, and strategies for making life more efficient and productive through technology. I am a strong proponent for creativity in the classroom, visible thinking practices, and supporting lifelong learning. I have taught Video Production, Graphic Design, Digital Illustration, & Digital Photography. I developed all my own curriculum and projects using the UbD framework, project-based methodology while utilizing a blended learning approach with an emphasis on collaboration.

I have a Masters degree in Educational Technology from Teachers College, Columbia University. My Masters degree is coupled with a certification from New York State as a Technology Specialist K-12. I am also a certified Google Educator and have completed training in the IB DP Visual Arts. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University with concentrations in digital media, photography, video, and graphic design. I am an avid traveler and photographer. In my current role as a Digital Art Teacher and Technology Coach at the Anglo-American School of Sofia in Bulgaria, I teach media arts classes, such as Video, Graphic Design, and Photography. I also have professional non-teaching experience as a web designer and developer in New York City.
