There was a time where I was obsessed with using Polaroid film. The instant happenstance of shooting a photograph combined with the instant gratification of an immediate artifact made it into an addictive medium. There is a magical quality to a Polaroid photograph and at the time these were taken the film was transitioning from being an everyday object sold in corner drugstores to being a niche hard-to-find vehicle for artistic expression. They are snapshots of a period in time both literally and figuratively.
