Design Project – Holiday Card
‘Tis the season… for holiday cards!! This project was an exercise in creativity based around one design principle. Students created a non-denominational holiday card to flex their design muscles. They had to work with both Typography, Color Theory, and the constraint of the size of a card in order to create their original design.

Each student picked one design principle to concentrate on, created a Pinterest board, created a type & design palette, and an original holiday card. Students presented their work for a critique and did a self-critique via the Design Scoring Rubric. Each student then performed an act of random kindness by giving a printed version of their card to a member of the school community.
